Our story
Beyond the Riad started the way most good Moroccan things do: over too much mint tea. A handful of guides and drivers who were tired of watching visitors get herded through carpet showrooms decided to run trips the way they’d want their own friends looked after.
More than a decade later, we’re still based in Fez, still working with local guides across the country, and still allergic to the rushed, commission-driven tour. We’d rather sell you a shorter trip done well than a marathon you’ll resent.
How we work

Who you’ll be dealing with
Born and raised in Fez, Youssef has guided travelers across Morocco for more than 12 years — from the Erg Chebbi dunes to the High Atlas passes. He writes most of the trip plans and answers a lot of the WhatsApp messages personally.
